About Peracetic Acid
General Information
Ginyork is an innovative supplier of high quality peracetic acid. Major uses of these products are as sanitizers, disinfectants and sterilants in medical applications, for the food and beverage industry, for water treatment, and for aqua cultural industry.
The major components of PROCIDE® are peracetic acid (CH3COOOH) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).The original formula of Procide® is based on the following equilibrium:
H2O2 + CH3COOH <--> CH3COOOH + H2O
According to a research result from our collaboration laboratory, PROCIDE® can optimize the properties of each component. The peracetic acid is an extremely strong oxidizing peracid. It is a powerful germicide that rapidly kills all micro-organism. The hydrogen peroxide is an oxidizing agent with long-lasting action. It destroys organic matter and enhances the formula’s disinfection. Due to the quality of its components and a precisely controlled manufacturing process, PROCIDE® is stable for two years.
Disinfection Property
Peracetic acid has powerful cleaning and sterilization performance. It has been proved its superior disinfecting efficacy in the laboratory and hospital. PROCIDE® maintains its disinfecting properties in the presence of viruses, bacteria, fungi, spores, and other organic matters.
Due to the presence of the oxidizing agents--peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide, the oxygen released is particularly effective against all micro-organism. It oxidizes the walls and components of the microbial cell, including structural proteins, enzymatic system, genetic material etc. This results in a total neutralization and destruction of micro-organism with no possibility of adaptation or acquiring of resistance.
Biocompatibility
PROCIDE® is safe and easy to use and environmental friendly. It has no harmful by-products or side-effects, and has no noxious odors in its diluted form.
Peractic acid decomposes into water, oxygen and acetate. It can be metabolized at the trace level. PROCIDE® is water soluble, and leaves no solid residue after rinsing and the end products are only water, oxygen and acetic acid (vinegar), making peracetic acid a very eco-friendly compound.
